Vindvenford

Vindvenford (affectionately known as Vinman; played by Taylor in No Heroes) is a towering Half Cloud Giant Hunter Ranger, master marksman of the auto-cannon, and retired adventurer who currently rules as an entrenched regional lord from Castle Shinszu in the Farsea Swamps.

Lineage & Origins

Unlike many giant-kin scattered across Faerûn, Vindvenford’s cloud giant family is alive, thriving, and free in the craggy high aeries of the Sunset Mountains (contrary to persistent regional rumors claiming they were imprisoned or destroyed). Standing over eight feet tall with a boisterous personality, physical showmanship, and deep affection for his clan, Vindvenford bridges the high alpine giants and the lowland bog-dwellers.

Season 4 (No Heroes) & The Auto-Cannon

During the events of No Heroes, Vindvenford served as the primary heavy artillery of the adventuring company alongside Tao (Tortle Shadow Monk), Silus Greymore (Kelemvor Gunslinger Cleric), Zolat (Axolotl Rogue), and Hop (Grung Monk).

The Auto-Cannon: Renowned for deploying a massive heavy auto-cannon from elevated perches or magical flight, capable of laying down devastating volleys (famously obliterating an infected Stormhorn troll in a single 4-shot, 52-damage barrage).
The Magic Carpet: Piloted an enchanted flying carpet into subterranean grottos and high-altitude dogfights before it was shredded in combat.
The Near-Fatal Climax (1 HP): In the subterranean depths of the Osrin Family Tomb, Vindvenford sustained catastrophic trauma during the titanic battle against the Mama Bug aberration. With a caved-in chest and pulverized armor, he dropped to 1 HP. Following the fateful coin toss that diverted the party to Threetrees, Vindvenford dragged himself back to the Oshitzu Compound, where his frantic wives and Catfish Hospitalers peeled off his ruined plate armor and nursed him back to life in the master bedchamber.
The Dream of Shindorim: Following a spiritual vision experienced in a subterranean hot spring, Vindvenford passionately advocated opening the portal to the legendary lost city of Shindorim. Though outvoted by a table coin flip, the ambition to unlock the portal remains an unresolved passion.

The Oshitzu Matrimony & The Wives

Through an arranged diplomatic union, Vindvenford married into the noble and mercantile Oshitzu Clan, acquiring regional lordship, title, and the fortress of Castle Shinszu. His household includes his devoted and fiercely protective wives:

Now an entrenched regional power broker in the Farseas Swamps:

Lord of Castle Shinszu: Rules over the fortified compound, managing swamp trade routes, fish farms, and defense against the spreading mycelial corruption of Eadaz.
Frontline Deterrent (Stompah): Recognizing the threat of the Krusht siege and mushroom-blight at the Stormhorn pass, Vindvenford dispatched his personal minotaur champion, Stompah, to hold the frontline alongside the Purple Dragons near M.A.S.H..
Contractor & Neutral Third Party: Maintains private negotiations with Cormyrean crown agents, House Ebonhawk, and independent fixers like Cifer Nachash, balancing clan independence against the encroaching War of the Stormhorns.
