Commander Vargath

Commander Vargath (known in frontline tactical dispatches as "the Banner-Binder") is an elite orc field commander and one of warlord Krusht's top lieutenants in the Stormhorns campaign.

Siege of Shatterstone Gorge

As Krusht's main host maneuvered across the northern passes roughly in line with Marsember to stage a drive toward Suzail, Vargath executed a surgical chokepoint strike ten miles forward of M.A.S.H.:

Destruction of the Rim-Fort: Rallying fewer than ten Stone Giants, Vargath directed an uphill bombardment of boulders that obliterated the Cormyrean Purple Dragon fortification and ballista batteries atop Shatterstone Gorge, severing M.A.S.H.'s primary wounded-evacuation corridor.
The Linchpin Vulnerability: Dying survivors from the shattered garrison reported to Cifer Nachash's scout network that the Stone Giants wear no Krusht uniforms and carry no banners of their own — viewing the sunlit surface world merely as "the Dream Stage." Only Vargath's direct command holds them on the canyon shelves; if Vargath is assassinated, the Stone Giant host will immediately abandon the gorge and disperse.
