Carrsack
Carrsack
Carrsack — spelled with two S's, titled the Overfather, and addressed as "Keeper of the Faith" in Threetrees — is a green-spotted orange Giant Salamander shaman and the political-religious leader of The Suh'Skel, the Shadow Scale insurrection. Standing distinctly apart from the frog and bullywug elders of the mire, Carrsack rules from the Cathedral Barge settlement as one of the six Mirelords and channels the martial, forge-hardened wrath of Crocun.
Appearance & Divine Alignment
Unlike the bullywug priesthoods of Papa Croakus, Carrsack is a massive orange Giant Salamander mottled with vivid green spots. His spiritual covenant is bound to Crocun — the armored Swamp God of metal, smithery, weaponry, protection, and righteous martial rage (the Farseas counterpart to Ogoun).
Character and Ideology
Carrsack is a true believer. The Suh'Skel's vision — complete removal of imperial and human influence from the Farseas, replaced with native sovereignty — is not, for Carrsack, a political position: it is a religious conviction. He serves as both the movement's tactical voice and its spiritual anchor, combining the authority of a high priest with the title of warlord-statesman.
He rejected Caduca Aris's peaceful diplomatic overtures, issuing instead an ultimatum: recognize the Suh'Skel and the native peoples as Cormyrean citizens with full rights, or face the consequences. When the answer was unsatisfactory, he threatened total war.
The Threetrees Overthrow & Current Summit with Draxxus
Carrsack directed the Suh'Skel's overthrow of Threetrees' governing council in approximately 1505 DR — the pivotal act of the insurrection at the Triple-Gallows Tree that established the Suh'Skel as the dominant military force in the city.
In the Vyrdisyang campaign era, covert intelligence gathered by Cifer Nachash's spy network confirmed that Draxxus — mortal champion of Dambastra and head of the Church of the Silverwing Serpent — has traveled into Threetrees for high-level meetings directly with Carrsack aboard his seat of power, even as neighboring Nykhas Rest collapses into violent factional cannibalism.
